COVID-19 PROCEDURES

With the uncertainty of COVID-19 around us, I am offering a combination of virtual and in-person services. I have been serving my clients virtually for the entirety of the pandemic, and I have found that virtual services offer many of the same benefits of an in-person session. However, some clients may prefer to meet in the traditional holding space of the therapy office.

Virtual therapy is available through the secure, HIPPA compliant telehealth server Doxy.Me. This easy to use system allows for seamless teletherapy sessions from the comfort and safety of your own home.

In-person therapy is available at my office. To keep all parties safe, the following precautions are being taken:

  • Clients who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or have themselves tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks are not permitted to attend in-person sessions.

  • In-person appointments are spaced out to allow for the circulation of new air.

  • Therapy room contains an air purifier with a HEPA filter (see NASA study on HEPA filter efficacy).

  • Everyone must use hand sanitizer upon entering the office.

  • Before and after each session, a full disinfecting of all surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches) is completed.

  • Masks are required in all shared spaces, including the waiting room. Prior to our first meeting, we will discuss your risk level, personal comfort, and other safety concerns before determining mask procedures during session time.
